Overview

Danish citizens are required to obtain a Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before travelling for tourism, business visits, or transit. The ETA is issued online and is linked to the traveler’s passport electronically.

Requirements
  • Valid Danish passport with at least 6 months validity
  • Valid email address for receiving ETA confirmation
  • Travel details such as arrival information
  • Online payment method (card)

Processing Time

Most applications are processed within 24 to 72 hours. Processing time may vary depending on immigration review.

Validity & Stay

The ETA is generally valid for 180 days from the date of issue. Tourist ETAs allow a stay of up to 30 days and may include double entry. Extensions are subject to approval by Sri Lankan authorities.
