Chinese passport holders planning to visit Sri Lanka for tourism, business meetings, or transit purposes are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before departure. This online authorization system allows travelers to complete the process without visiting an embassy.
Once approved, the ETA is electronically linked to your passport and checked by immigration authorities upon arrival in Sri Lanka.
The application process is completed online and typically involves submitting personal details, passport information, and travel plans. Most applications are processed within 24 to 72 hours, depending on the accuracy of the submitted information.
| Visa Type | Government Fee | Service Fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tourist ETA (30 Days) | $50.00 | $49.00 | $99.00 |
| Business ETA (30 Days) | $55.00 | $64.00 | $119.00 |
| Transit ETA | $0.00 | $35.00 | $35.00 |
The ETA is generally valid for 180 days from the date of issue. Tourist visas usually allow a stay of up to 30 days and may include double entry. Extensions can be requested from the Sri Lanka Department of Immigration if required.
This authorization is intended for short visits only. Employment or long-term residence is not permitted under this visa category.
We provide assistance in reviewing your application details, helping reduce errors and delays during submission. Our support team is available to guide applicants through the process if needed.
